Quadrato

20 years of web development

I met my wife at a job where we were building digital projects together. The two of us worked so well together that we decided to start a company and go out on our own. That’s how Quadrato began, back in 2004, and it’s still going today.

Over the years we’ve had an amazing time, learning a lot, watching new technology paradigms emerge, making strategic decisions to stay relevant, and always adapting to every change to get where we are today.

What I’ve built

As a developer at Quadrato, I’ve built hundreds of web applications, internal systems, intranets, APIs, databases, client portals, supplier portals, dashboards, SaaS applications, integrations with other systems, and online stores.

I also handle choosing the best hosting and security setup for each project.

What I’ve learned in 20 years

I’ve learned that communication with the client is the most important factor in any project’s success. That before sitting down to code, you have to be thorough about understanding the problem the client wants to solve.

As Einstein said:

If I had an hour to solve a problem, I’d spend 55 minutes understanding it and 5 minutes thinking about the solution.

I also learned that you have to know how to evolve in a technology world that moves incredibly fast.

And that it’s impossible to know it all — you never stop learning.

Quadrato today

Just like at the start, we still work today with all the love you put into the things you enjoy doing.

Quadrato is small but highly specialized. We work directly with our clients, with no middlemen and no junior staff.

We believe in projects that are well analyzed and well executed. We know that when you deliver more than expected, the client tends to come back.

After more than two decades building software, I still enjoy the same thing I did when I started: understanding problems and building solutions.
